FEU NRMF...tops board--AGAIN Dr. Eleanor de Guzman dela Pena, a recent graduate topped the February 2011 Philippine medical board examinations, with a score of 86.33, among the 1230 examinees. Another alumna, Dr. Noreen Manlapaz Dizon, got the 5th place on the list of the top ten. Last year, FEU-NRMF also bagged home the first place in the February 2010 medical board examination, with Marie-Jo-Ann B. Cabanting garnering a grade of 85.42. On August 6, 2008, another FEU-NRMF graduate, Marlon Diaz Garcia, topped the medical board examination, with a rating of 88.75. FEU Class ’61 made history when it made almost a clean sweep in the medical board examination, garnering eight out of the top ten spots in the national medical board examination that year. Dr. Vicente Verzosa got the first place with a score of 83.38. UST got the 4th and 8th places. This impressive feat by these FEU alumni has never been equaled or broken to this day. Class ’61 members are being honored as Golden Jubilarians during the 32nd Annual Convention and Reunion of the FEU-DNR-SM Alumni Foundation on June 15-18, 2011 at the Monte Carlo Resort in Las Vegas. The other FEU alumni who obtained first place on the medical board examinations were: Raymond Razonable, 91.17 (August 1993);Virginia Magbogos, 92.58 (August 1991); Bienvenido V. Yu, 90.92 (December 1986);Nelson T. Chao, 88 (June 1983); Esther C. Aoigan, 85.58 (December 1978); Joseph D. Carpio, 86.46 (December 1975) ; Guat S. Sy, Jr., 91.17 (June 1975); Victoria K. Sy, 87.63 (August 1958). Together with these topnotchers were more 200 FEU alumni who were at the top ten of the national medical board examinations since FEU graduated its first batch in 1957.
